I like the contrast of their fine faces and smiles, simple but tidy clothes and the surroundings. Also it teaches us, that not only wealth can make a child smile, even when the life is tough. Good work.
and oh well it was taken very close to my mom's farm at santa rosa guatemala ( a very poor area of the country even if it doesnt seem like it)
she used to have coffee plantations there and offer jobs to the people of the village . some times expending more than the real price of the coffee on the market but my mom likes to help the people..
and why did i take those shots? at first it was for fun 'cause that kids didnt knew what a digital camera was so i take some shots of them and they loved it!
and for the personal reason it was because i like to make the people be aware of the reality of my country they are just focused on what's going on whit the reggaeton and crappy pop things and shitty politics so the photojournalism it's an important way to express myself and my toughts and to show the people how creative can be those kids that doesnt have any education or the most basic stuff for the living.
Very nice. I can relate. My country, Nepal, is very poor. You can take pictures like this in many places throughout the country. That's why I clicked on this picture because I wanted to know where it was taken. I think you should edit the description to explain your pictures because that's part of photo journalism. Location is very important. Thanks for replying! Keep up the great work.
thanks for the comment ! and yeah they were having fun actually they built an improvised wheelbarrow so they where playing whit it and sure they are very poor people but so much creativity it's going on there
more than a simple living it's a very sad way of living for those kids they dont have any kind of education, healthcare or anything and all because of the goverment corruption and common sense of their parents that arent responsible for their kids.
but being a child, growing up in that, u dont know any better. not like they lived luxury lives, then were thrown into it. they only realise the shit hole they live in because people like u feel sorry for them, u pity them, putting them in a lower place that yourself. if one NEVER experiences the good side of things, then one will NEVER know what it is to be living in the bad side. you just KNOW this is how you live and that's ALL you know. and why so quick to judge the parents? that's so judge mental. u just took a picture. u dont know if the parents died NOT due to natural causes or anything. dont be so quick to pass judgement
that's what happens when you dont live in a third world country... why i judge their parents? 'cause they are irresponsibls i know them in person... they are my neighbours at the farm the mom knows she's poor dont even have a house and his husband is an alcoholic who doesnt give a shit 'bout his kids and she keeps saying in her ignorance supported by the goverment that as a woman she has to give as many childrens she could.... that's sad bring childs to suffer that way of life..
a nice trip to guatemala can help you to realize how things are and how this people lives... the mother of those childs knows me since i was a baby i grew up with their older sons so DONT SAY THAT Y PLACE THEM LOWER THAN ME.. she had 13 kids 5 are dead the other ones... well i just can say that people needs education.
by the way come to guatemala i'll give u a room in my house so you can know the reallity OF guatemala and their irresponsible people
ok i've seen your point. very legit. sorry i assumed u knew nothing. i admit that was a fuck up on my part. oh and btw, i'm nigerian, not so flashy out there either. i think u can use your amazing photography skills to HELP these kids though. if that's not wat ur already doing.
